Konkona Sen Sharma displays her child knock!: Konkona Sen Sharma delivered a baby boy in March, but she is seen flaunting her baby bump on the cover page of the April issue of Ok! Magazine. Though she is hardly seen on the cover pages, her Ok! cover has created quite a furore in the web world as many think the cover is gross.

With this cover Konkona joins the league of celebrities like Demi Moore and Padma Lakshmi, who dared to bare their baby bump, but they chose to be without clothes while Konkona is covered. No doubt the shoot is done aesthetically and it looks wonderful. But many are of the opinion that a cover page like this doesn’t suit our culture, and that it’s a risqué one.

Konkona, who married actor Ranvir Shorey last year, talks to the magazine about her pregnancy and how motherhood has changed her. Konkona says, “We were both keen on having a baby soon though - because you know they say you should have your kids before a certain age. We’ve been saying, “Maybe next year,” for some time and on my last birthday, mom said, “Okay, you want to freeze your eggs now?!” This has happened at the right age and the right time for us and we couldn’t be happier.”

The actress has named her son Haroon, which is an Arabic name meaning a protector, a chief.

Konkona Sen Sharma becomes a mother: It’s a baby boy for the actress Konkona Sen Sharma and actor Ranvir Shorey. Konkona delivered the child yesterday at a South Mumbai hospital and the industry people have started showering her with best wishes.

Vivek Oberoi tweets, “massive congratulations to @konkonas and ranvir! a boy it is. With those genes, the dynasty is secure.” Actor Rahul Bose with whom Konkona has done various films has congratulated her and Ranvir.

At the time of the delivery Konkona had her dear husband Ranvir and mother Aparna Sen alongside her. Now the family is in celebration mood, both mother and child are healthy.

Konkona and Ranvir Shorey got married last year on September 3 in a hush-hush wedding; the actress was preggers at the time of her wedding.

Konkona told, “The roles that I get offered are very good and of serious women who are morally upright, righteous and honest. But I was dying to do this one (Mirchroles).”

Konkona who turned 31 recently states “These women have an element of wickedness which I really enjoy playing. For that matter I enjoyed playing two wicked women in the movie.”

Konkona further added “I am actually on a break. I won’t be starting anything new till the half of next year.”

The actress said further, “So as of now, I have Mirch and Iti Mrinalini releasing this year and I’ve done a cameo in Saat Khoon Maaf.”
